Our Story

How we got here

We met. We laughed. We travelled. We accidentally walked into various objects.

Somewhere along the way, we realised we wanted to spend the rest of our lives making each other laugh, and occasionally checking the other wasn't too badly injured after another spectacular display of coordination.

So here we are.

We couldn't imagine celebrating this moment anywhere other than beautiful Chania, surrounded by our favourite people.

We can't wait to welcome you to Crete for a weekend filled with sunshine, wonderful food, great wine and unforgettable memories.

Getting There

Travel & Stay

Flying In

Chania International Airport (CHQ) is the closest, with seasonal direct flights from several European cities. Heraklion (HER) is a larger alternative, roughly a 2-hour drive.

A few notes on timing your booking:

From London: seasonal direct routes to Chania run through the summer; book a few months out for the best fares, as early June sits right at the start of the season.

From Vienna: direct seasonal flights to Chania typically start up in spring; keep an eye out from late winter for early-bird pricing.

From Venice: direct or one-stop options via Athens are usually best value if booked well ahead of the summer rush.

From San Francisco: there's no direct route, so plan on connecting through a major European hub (Athens, London, or elsewhere); booking early gives you the widest choice of connections.

From Zurich: Zurich is one of the better-connected hubs for reaching Crete, with seasonal direct flights through summer; fares are usually reasonable if booked a few months out.

From Trieste: no direct route; the simplest connection is via Athens, or via another Italian hub like Rome or Venice, worth comparing both for price and timing.

From Geneva: direct seasonal flights to Chania typically run through the summer months; book early, as seats on the direct route tend to sell out.

From Los Angeles: no direct route from the West Coast, so plan on at least one connection through a European hub (London, Athens, or elsewhere); factor in a long travel day and book well ahead for the best fares.

FAQ

Garden formal. Think light fabrics and elegant layers. The ceremony is outdoors on stone, so avoid thin heels. No shorts, please. If you need to feel a little more fresh in the heat, a Cuban shirt or a light jacket instead of a full suit is very welcome.

We love your little ones, but this celebration is adults-only, save for immediate family. Thank you for understanding.

Having you there is the greatest gift. If you'd like to contribute, we'll be setting up a gift account through Luca's sister, and we'll share all the details with you later.

Please feel free to contact Nina or Luca directly with any questions. If you've received our invitation, you already have our phone numbers, so don't hesitate to get in touch.
